Wednesday, April 29th - New Found Glory

I shot the New Found Glory show last night at The Phoenix Concert Theater. I really like NFG so it was a lot of fun to finally get to see them play live. Their new album is really great and they were selling it at the show for $5. How sweet is that? As usual The Phoenix had crap for lighting and it was all red all the time, but I told myself I would limit the amount of complaining I do about lighting in venues and just try to be a better photographer by overcoming it. Crap lighting, I am above you! Someone pointed out that they liked when I got all tech and explained my settings for the photos so here goes.. I shot all of these with my 50mm f1.2L at f1.6 and ISO 1250. I havent really ever tried shooting a concert at f1.6 before so that was a fun experience. Surprisingly a lot of the photos are very much in focus which rules. Now for something completely unrelated, you should go and follow me on Twitter if you know whats good for you. Monday, April 27th - Anh Pham

I mentioned in my last post that I was going to be shooting a wedding the next day. The wedding was for a friend named Jane who I used to work with a few years ago. Friday, April 24th - Meetings

I met with some of the staff at a magazine here in Toronto yesterday to show them my portfolio and talk about some upcoming shoots they want me to work on. After the meeting I was walking towards the elevator and the studio manager came up to me and asked me how old I was when I got on the bus. I was a bit confused by her question so I asked what she meant, and she said "You know, when you got on the bus, in your story". I realized she was referring to the post I made the other day talking about going on tour with Crowned King when I was 19. I just thought it was really neat that she had read my blog and was interested in that. I actually wrote that whole post out a few different times trying to get it just right. I had one version with way more details, and another with way less. I almost scrapped the whole thing and Im now very glad I didnt. Check back for some more sweet updates soon. Im shooting a wedding tomorrow. That will be fun. Not fun like being kicked in the head at a hardcore concert, but still fun. Add Comment (0)

Tuesday, April 21st - Kings Of Leon
