.11:58pm.. CiRCA Toronto.
Since February 29th only happens every 4 years I figured I might as well make sure I post something today. I was at CiRCA tonight taking some photos of the drunken scantily clad party goers dancing their minds off. The evening started out fairly slow since the weather was pretty terrible today, and someone pulled the fire alarm within the first 10 minutes I was there. It picked up a little later on into the night and it turned out to be a good time.

Tuesday, February 26th

I took this photo of The Cancer Bats after their show at The Mod Club. I thought it was funny because I have known these guys since I first came to Toronto about three years ago and this was the first time I have taken a photo of the whole band together.

Friday, February 22nd
.11:23pm.. Angels and Airwaves.
I had the opportunity to photograph Angels and Airwaves tonight for Chart Magazine. Im really not sure how I feel about Angels and Airwaves. Tom Delonge is a really amazing songwriter but hes not the worlds greatest singer and whenever I see them live I can hear an effect he puts on his vocals to help correct his pitch and its a little wierd. Nevertheless they are still a great band to watch other than that.

Today I was finally able to launch a website I have been working on over the past few weeks for Vanessa Heins. I am really excited for this website. Her photography is amazing and you should go check it out.
On a side note, I have posted a whole lot of screen shots this month. Good stuff on the internet these days.

I was going to post this a few months back but I was told to wait until it officially launched, which it now has. Wade from Alexisonfire has a side project called Black Lungs and they used a few of my photos of him in the layout of the site as well as in the media section. Check it out.

Friday, February 15th
.5:04am.. City & Colour on MTV.
I mentioned in my last post that I spent the day at MTV because of Dallas Green from City & Colour appearing on MTV Live. I really have no idea what I should write about the whole experience. It was good fun.
I got there at around 3 for sound check then Dallas signed a huge pile of posters and cds while we watched some TV shows I had never seen before such as Step By Step, and Rob & Big. There was a conversation had between Dallas and Lucky at one point about the potential benefits to having a second penis. The show happened, I took some photos, then went home, copied cards, and headed to CiRCA. I posted too many photos.
Vanessa has a million photos of Dallas from all the other things hes been doing before the release of his new album this past tuesday, which by the way, you should check out because its amazing. Click HERE to see a video of the MTV Performance.

Thursday, February 14th
.12:13pm.. Sam Roberts.
Yesterday was a fairly crazy day. I went to MTV and took photos of Dallas Green from City & Colour, after which I went down to CiRCA to photograph a party hosted by Virgin Mobile. Richard Branson was there which was cool to see. He definetly sprayed me with champagne after his speech. Sam Roberts performed as well which was great because I really like their music a lot. I got to meet the guys backstage before the show and I gotta say, they are some really nice dudes. Here is a photo I took backstage after the show. I will post some more stuff soon as I get it all processed.

Monday, February 11th
.6:06pm.. Dragonette/Matt Costa.
I woke up this morning and checked out the photos of Metric that I had posted which got me thinking about how I had shot them during Vfest as well which made me remember that I never really posted many of the photos from those two days of concerts. Monday, February 11th
.4:43am.. Metric.
After the Saint Alvia Cartel show on Thursday at The Mod Club, I headed over to The Sound Academy for Metric. I have been shooting so much this past week and Im really looking forward to getting all of these things processed so I can sit down and take a break. I have a few magazines and a book with my photos in it that I have to photograph in the next few days which I will be posting on here as soon as I have the chance. Sam Robers is on Wednesday.

.10:26pm.. CiRCA Toronto.
Every so often I get asked to come by CiRCA here in Toronto to photograph different events they have going on there. This past Friday was the launch of their new circus themed decorations throughout the building. Saturday, February 9th
.11:43am.. Poison The Well.
Tonight I went and photographed the Poison The Well at The Opera House for Chart Magazine. It was my first time seeing these guys live and they totally blew me away. No other band can slip on Loonies and spit quite as gracefully as Poison The Well. I hung out with them for a bit after the show and we talked about how awsome Cancer Bats are, and how badly they want to tour Canada and play every small town there is to play here. I definitely had a good time and can't wait till they come back in September.

Thursday, February 7th
.11:45pm.. The Saint Alvia Cartel.
Tonight I got to go and see The Saint Alvia Cartel play at The Mod Club. I really like these guys a lot and I recommend you go and check them out. They were just nominated for a Juno.

Tomorrow is Silverstein/Protest The Hero/The Devil Wears Prada and The Kool Haus, then I am off to Circa to photograph a sweet party. Saturday is Poison The Well at The Opera House, and me passing out after that. Check back.

Wednesday, February 6th
.12:21pm.. Cancer Bats.
Last night I went to see my friends in The Cancer Bats play at The Mod Club. The show was really fun. I was a little disappointed that This Is Hell couldn't make due to the bad weather we have been having the last week or so, but the show was still fun overall.
Tomorrow night is The Reason and The Saint Alvia Cartel at The Mod Club, as well as Metric at The Sound Academy and I plan on hitting both.

Friday, Februay 1st
.5:10pm.. Farewell To Freeway.
Its February 1st today and I dont really have anything crazy to update with at the moment. I got my copies of Death Before Dishonor Magazine in the mail today and I gotta say it looks even better in person (See last post).
I also wanted to post a link to my good friends in Farewell To Freeway's Myspace page because they recently put up a new song called "Sound Minds" from their upcoming album on Victory Records. The photo at the top of the page also happens to be mine so I took a screenshot to go with this post. Check them out and tell them how beautiful they are.
This week coming up is going to be pretty fun. Tonight I am shooting a party at Circa put on by The Sneaker Pimps. Next week I have four shows I will be photographing including Cancer Bats on Tuesday, Saint Alvia Cartel/The Reason on Thursday, Silverstein/Protest The Hero on Friday, and Poison The Well on Saturday. It will be really busy but I am really looking forward to all of those shows so it will be fun.
