.1:25am.. Death Before Dishonor Magazine.
I got an email just now from a guy named Ben Reader, who is a photographer in Melbourne Australia, telling me how much he liked my photos he saw of Boys Night Out in a magazine called Death Before Dishonor. I had totally forgotten that I sent them photos a while back to use in the magazine so it was really cool to know they finally used them. In the same issue they also used photos of The Cancer Bats, Atreyu, and Every Time I Die. I got Ben to take photos of the pages with my pictures in them so I could post them on the site. Hopefully I can get my hands on a copy of the magazine sometime soon as well.

.1:25am.. The Carps.
The other day I went to see The Cool Kids at the WrongBar here in Toronto and I ran into my friend Jahmal who plays drums and sings in a band called The Carps. I met Jahmal last time The Cool Kids came through Toronto and The Carps opened up for them. I also had done some promo photos for them the night of the show and I never ended up putting one on my site so I decided to go way back and post this photo from that shoot.

If you don't know who The Carps are then I recommend you go to their Myspace by clicking HERE. I am not even sure how I would go about describing the type of music they play other than by saying its really awesome.

.1:33am.. Alexisonfire.
So like I said in my last post, I was going to the Alexisonfire show at The Sound Academy yesterday and bringing my camera along as usual. I missed the two opening bands but I still managed to make it with a little time before Alexis went on which was nice.

I am definetly going to try to keep the writing to a minimum with this post because there are a whole lot of photos that I am really excited to show. Check them out.

.1:33am.. Skate 4 Cancer Myspace.
I just got a text from Rob telling me to check out the Skate 4 Cancer Myspace page so I went to have a look and I saw that they have used a photo I took of him in the main banner.

For the very few people out there who might not know what Skate 4 Cancer is all about I encourage you to go to myspace.com/skate4cancer or skate4cancer.com and check it out.

On a side note, the Alexisonfire show is tonight at The Sound Academy. It will be good to see those guys again and hopefully I will get something cool to update the site with for tomorrow.

.1:33am.. Protest The Hero on MTV Live.
Yesterday I posted the Fuze Magazine page with my Protest The Hero photo and right after I went out for coffee with my friend Dee from I Hate Sally. We were talking for a while when Protest The Hero was somehow brought up and she had remembered they were supposed to be playing on MTV Live at 6pm and that she was supposed to go. I had no idea they were even playing so I made a few calls and managed to get hooked up with access to photograph the show with about 45 minutes to get there.

Like I said in my last post, Protest has a new album coming out on Tuesday called Fortress which everyone should go and pick up. They are having a listening party for the album tomorrow night which I am hoping I am able to make it to.

Along with Protest, MTV Live also had Degrassi: The Next Generation's, Adamo Ruggiero on the show talking about his recent coming out about the fact that he is gay.

Now if all of that wasn't enough for you, I have posted more of the photos on Former Transformer which you can check out by clicking HERE

.2:51pm.. Fuze Magazine.
I was just sent this months issue of Fuze Magazine from Germany with one of my photos of Protest The Hero in it. I dont understand a single word in this magazine but its still kinda cool that my photos are being spread around the world.

Protest The Hero have a new album coming out this coming Tuesday called Fortress. I have heard most of the songs and I gotta say, if you liked what they did on Kezia, you will go nuts for Fortress.

.1:36pm.. Billy Pettinger.
My friend Billy Pettinger is in Los Angeles right now recording her new album with Raine Maida. Its totally exciting and I cant wait to heard the final version of it. The day before she left for L.A. we hung out and took a few photos and talked about fun things. This is my favorite photo out of all the ones we took. It was on my roof right when the sun was setting. It was freezing cold out so we were only out there for like 10 minutes. Enjoy.

Oh also one cool thing about today is that it is my good friend Aaron Friesen's birthday. Ive known him since we were in grade nine which makes it about 10 years now. Happy birthday Aaron.

.9:11pm.. The Wooden Sky Video Shoot.
Yesterday my good friends in the band The Wooden Sky filmed a music video and they asked me to come along and take some photos of all the action. It was a whole lot of fun and the video is going to look amazing when it is finished which should be very soon since the video was all one shot. It was directed by Scott Cudmore who has some other really amazing videos on his website at www.scottcudmorefilm.com. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day.

Check out this months Alternative Press and you will see a glorious full page photo I took of Coheed & Cambria. You may recognize it from my Warped Tour post back in August. I'm pretty excited about it. Its one of my favorite photos that I have taken and I'm so happy they chose it.

.1:28pm.. Arrow Hall Photo
Here is a photo I took during the Anti-Flag/Alexisonfire show of everyone watching from the side of the stage. I just came across it while processing the rest of the photos from the show. I thought it was kinda funny the way everyone is standing almost the same way with their arms crossed.

.9:53pm.. First post of the new year
Well this would be my first post of the new year. I have a bunch of different things I plan on posting over the next little while, and I would have had all this stuff up already but I was in Manitoba till the 4th and I had to shoot a wedding the day after I got back. I also had to set up my blog to be able to function with 2008. Its all set up now and it should go smoothly from here on out.

My first post is going to be some photos I took at Jonathan and Meagan's wedding which took place in Hamilton just this past Saturday. Surprisingly it was not too cold at all which was a very good thing. Vanessa and I both had a lot of fun hanging out with Jonathan and Meagan on their wedding day.
